We were born in 1993 with an ambitious purpose that already contained our entire vision: to innovate the production of water meters by emphasizing quality and high-level metrological performance.
At a time when environmental resources seemed to be infinite, water meters were not asked for accuracy and reliability. We went against the grain by bringing the Italian mechanical and manufacturing tradition into our products and gave Utilities tools for rational, efficient, and sustainable management of water resources.

In 1993, known as Acquaconta, we distinguished ourselves by producing only high-quality meters, those defined as Class C meters. In an environment in which metrological instruments of high precision and reliability were not being used in supply networks, we embraced a different paradigm. We chose to produce meters with the highest measurement capability possible at the time.

In addition, each meter was individually verified at the test bench instead of the usual spot checks. Our choice anticipated the future. In 2007, what we were already doing became a regulatory requirement, turning our practice into an industry standard.

Our mission has always been to offer an unparalleled price/performance ratio. We provide meters that guarantee maximum performance relative to the investment. We are proud to have contributed our meters to pioneering projects that have revolutionized the management of water networks, leading to significant efficiency gains. Over time, Utilities have seen positive impacts in terms of return on investment, sustainability, and transparency to end users.

When Italy implemented the MID directive in 2007, our meters already met the regulatory criteria, with R-values above 160 (this was an impressive accuracy at the time). This shows that the quality and accuracy we had set for ourselves were already far above the standards of the time. Our dedication to high quality was more than a step ahead of the new standards.

The characteristic that sets us apart is our ability to respond to the needs of Utilities in a proactive, innovative, and personalized way. Anticipating future demands for the rationalization of water resources and supply networks, we proposed products for which there was not yet a great demand in Italy. We created a market that now recognizes the importance of high-quality meters.

In the early 2000s, we made significant investments in the then-emerging field of remote metering. We equipped our meters with additional electronic components -called add-ons -precursors to remote management.

As early as 2010 and even more so after 2012, we embraced the challenge of implementing large remote metering installations. In that context, when smart metering efforts were still embryonic in Italy, we emerged as pioneers, distinguishing ourselves by the size and importance of installations.

While many in the market were limited to mini-installations, we dared to implement projects of considerable scale. A tangible example of our commitment is the complete coverage of Milan – from downtown to the suburbs – a project that brought smart metering technology into homes and commercial and industrial activities throughout the city.

The first significant installations were carried out in collaboration with CAP Group, the integrated water service provider of the Metropolitan City of Milan, and later with MM – Metropolitana Milanese. As early as 2015-2016, we put in place significant smart metering installations, when many others in the industry were still in the early stages of understanding this revolutionary technology.

Our forward-looking vision placed us at the forefront of the industry, leading the transformation to a smarter, more sustainable future of networks.

Our turbine meters are still the best-performing meters worldwide, achieving metrological performance up to R400. But our joining the ARAD Group, with its international dimension and historical focus on innovation, has enabled us to add the best static electronic smart meters globally to our product portfolio. We are proud to hold global leadership in water metering.

We have expanded our scope to include gas meters to meet the growing needs of Multi-Utilities and offer a full range of solutions for their distribution networks. This expansion reflects the same distinctive approach that characterizes our water meters: highest quality, accuracy, and reliability.

Our commitment to excellence is enshrined in not only quality certifications but also in awards from companies such as Italgas, one of the gas industry’s leading and most stringent Utilities. This seal of approval, made explicit by our inclusion on the exclusive supplier list, testifies our products’ unsurpassed quality and impeccable performance .

Our production capacity of about one million units per year attests to our readiness to meet the growing demands of the market. The production of gas meters, designed following the same philosophy of quality that distinguishes us in the water supply chain, highlights our strategic expansion. We have grown and developed to meet the varied and complex needs of Multi-Utilities, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in every aspect of our operations.
